Inspired by Alexander Jamieson’s A Celestial Atlas, these charts were uniquely designed with tiny perforations so they could be held up to light, allowing the constellation stars to glow — a remarkable fusion of science, education, and art. Though initially credited to “a lady,” the designs were later identified as the work of Reverend Richard Rouse Bloxam, an educator at Rugby School.
